The department of Medical and Paediatric Oncology at MIMS provides:

  • Highly specialized chemotherapy and its safe administration
  • Comprehensive treatment planning according to National Cooperative Cancer Network (NCCN) guideline.
  • Daycare chemotherapy for those who do not wish to stay in the hospital.
  • Early detections of cancer through a systematic screening programme for asymptomatic individuals especially those in the high risk group.

Special Clinics

Certain cancer requires much more focussed attention. We at MIMS Oncology Center know this fact better than most others. These special clinics are specially designed to get better treatment outcome.

  • Leukemia / Lymphoma clinic The treatment of leukemia and lymphoma require special care and follow up. This clinic provides an aggressive chemotherapy and its supportive care and also arranges an organized follow up of these patients.
  • Breast cancer clinic A multidisciplinary comprehensive cancer care is arranged through this clinic for breast cancer patients. Services offered includes treatment planning, breast conservation, breast reconstructions, cosmetic advice and follow up of breast cancer patients.
  • Paediatric Oncology clinic Children with cancer requires tender loving care. This clinic offers diagnosis, treatment and supportive care of all paediatric cancers. Follow up for early relapses and late effects of treatment related problems are also carried out.
